Midterm review offers students, peers, faculty, and community members an opportunity to critically assess each project for potential construction. As in a typical design review, the merits and deficits of each project are discussed and debated. Unlike traditional academic reviews, the scope of this conversation must extend beyond theoretical and conceptual concerns to include practical matters of constructability and cost. After careful consideration of the observations and responses discussed at the review, students select the project they believe is ultimately the best candidate for construction.
